Permits in Worx are attached to a SWMS as part of its safety requirements — a permit records that a specific high-risk activity has been authorised before work starts. When a permit needs approval, here's where to find it and what to check.
<!-- SME: verify every step below — navigation, screen names and button labels are placeholders -->
Open the relevant SWMS [SME: or is there a dedicated Permits area?].
Go to the Permits / Requirements section [SME: exact tab name].
Open the permit awaiting approval. Review the activity, conditions and any attached documentation.
Select Approve [SME: exact label; is a signature or comment required?].
Once approved, the permit status updates and the crew can proceed [SME: does approval notify anyone?].
Confirm the permit matches the actual work being performed — not just the SWMS it sits under.
Check any expiry or validity window on the permit.
Only certain roles can approve permits [SME: which roles?].
If the permit you're looking for isn't visible, check your permission level with your administrator.
