1. Access the SWMS Module 0:02

  • Log into the portal.

  • Navigate to the SWMS module.

  • Locate the templates section.

 

2. Add a New Template 0:09

  • Click on 'Templates'.

  • Select 'Add New Template' from the top right.

 

3. Choose Template Type 0:26

  • Select 'New Template' to create a new Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS).

  • Reference existing SWMS if needed.

 

4. Fill in Job Description and Details 0:43

  • Enter the job description (e.g., excavation and trenching).

  • Add any relevant OH&S references and codes of practice.

 

5. Identify Responsible Personnel 1:25

  • Specify the person responsible for reviewing the SWMS.

 

6. List High-Risk Work Activities 1:37

  • Identify applicable high-risk work activities (e.g., risk of falls, excavation).

 

7. Add Job Steps 2:24

  • Click to add job steps.

  • Enter descriptions for each job step (e.g., inductions and training).

 

8. Assess Hazards and Controls 2:42

  • For each job step, identify hazards and control measures.

  • Use the risk matrix to evaluate risks associated with each hazard.

  • Add or modify job steps and hazards as needed.

 

13. Allocate Templates to Sites 8:17

  • Once completed, allocate the template to specific sites as needed.
