Connecting Ascora to Worx Safety API
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps to connect Ascora to Worx Safety using the API for seamless job management. I created a video walkthrough and there are also steps after the video if you prefer to read through.
Key Steps
1. Access API Settings in Ascora 0:12
Log into your Ascora account.
Navigate to the Administration menu.
Select API Settings.
2. Generate API Key 0:23
Click on Generate New Key.
Copy the generated key to your clipboard.
3. Access WorkSafety Integrations 0:34
Log into your WorkSafety account.
Go to the Integrations section.
Select Ascora.
4. Validate API Key in WorkSafety 0:45
Paste the copied API key into the designated field.
Click on Validate to establish the connection.
5. Manage Company Connection 0:56
Connect to Manage Company to pull jobs from Ascora.
Ensure that jobs are set to populate automatically.
6. Create a Job in Ascora 1:25
Navigate to the Jobs section in Ascora.
Click on Create a Job.
Fill in the job details (e.g., job name, description).
Mark the job as In Progress.
7. Verify Job in WorkSafety 3:17
Go back to WorkSafety and navigate to Sites.
Check that the job appears under the relevant site.
8. Submit Forms Related to the Job 3:31
Go to the Forms section in WorkSafety.
Fill in the necessary details (note that not all fields are mandatory).
Click Submit to finalize the form submission.
9. Check Attachments in Ascora 4:04
Return to Ascora and open the job you created.
Check the Attachments section to confirm that the form submission has been pulled through.
Cautionary Notes
Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access API settings in both Ascora and Worx Safety.
Double-check that the API key is copied correctly to avoid connection issues.
